Biography of Katherine Moss, Founder and Executive Director
Katherine Moss is the Founder and Executive Director of the Diplomats’ Washington, Inc. A fifth generation Washingtonian, Ms. Moss has worked closely with U.S. Government entities, including the State Department, Congressional Staff, Washington-based media, as well as local governments and business leaders involved with international affairs.
Ms. Moss has lived and worked abroad in France and the United Kingdom and speaks French, German and Italian aside from her native English. Combining her linguistic training, a deep understanding of Washington, D.C., and her experience working for several European companies and a major multinational company in the U.S., Ms. Moss brings a wealth of cross-cultural sensitivities and understanding to The Diplomats’ Washington, Inc. and its clients.
Ms. Moss served on the Protocol Advisory Board for the Mayor of Washington, D.C. from 2001-2005, and has served as the Executive Director of the Society of White House Military Aides. She sits on the Board of the Consular Corps of Washington, D.C. and has recently been elected Director General of the Consular Corps College. She is an active member of the Capitol Speakers Club and has volunteered extensively with organizations promoting international business and social exchange. Ms. Moss regularly addresses national and international organizations on cross-cultural issues and protocol.
Ms. Moss graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University’s School of Language and Linguistics. She has traveled extensively around the world.
